Grace and peace in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  This is the church that love is building, and worship is our purpose, its what we do, and what we do is worship Jesus.

We are a blessed church, and we are grateful for God’s favor upon us. Under the umbrella of the worship ministry is:

       The Acolytes

       The Wedding and Bereavement Stewards

                                                       The Hospitality Team

We appreciate every Servant with their talents being used in this corner of the vineyard to further uplift God’s kingdom here on earth. We all are a part of the body of Christ in him we live and move and have our being.

Our Communion Stewards are faithful and committed and are always ready for service. The Flower and Altar Guild servants are also on point making sure the altar is setup and ready for worship. We alternate the colors we use as the months go by in accordance with the Liturgical Calendar. We dress the cross and other areas of the Sanctuary as necessary.

We are in the process of reinstating new servants for the acolytes ministry as our children are growing and moving on to High Schools. We have, Shauna Kay Carnegie, & Nakedi Gayle, in our present group for the year 2006.

The Ushers and Greeters work hand in hand as they make room to accommodate each person attending our services. You will always see a smiling face at the door, and you will always be warmly welcomed at S.G.U.M.C.

We are thankful to God for the ordination of marriages. We do celebrate quite a few at Springfield and all are doing well. We look forward for God’s continued guidance as they grow in love.

It’s always a pleasure to see our Hospitality team at work. They prepare and accommodate everyone young or old. You are always welcomed to have a hot cup of tea or coffee, sitting or going, there is more than enough for all.
