Davidic Intercessory Prayer

2 Chronicles  7-14, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways. Then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Grace and peace to all the saints.  We the men of Springfield Gardens United Methodist Church Davidic Intercessory Prayer group. We boldly proclaim that prayer is the lifeblood of this ministry and every ministry in the house. We acknowledge this truth in the affirmation of the Holy Spirit. We stand on the word as it’s related in the scripture Psalm 1:3, “He shall be like a tree planted by the river of water. That brings forth its fruit and its season. Whose leaf also shall not wither and whatever he does shall prosper.”

This prayer group was birth some years ago when Brother Edward Christopher was blessed with the idea of men getting together to pray on a regular session. Hence this Ministry was birth. Brother Edward passed away this summer and needless to say he is greatly missed. We thank God for his vision, and we look forward to the day when once again we can join with him singing this Glorious Anthem, “I Just Want To Praise Him”. Until then may his soul rest in peace.

Our Objective

  1. To seek a more intimate relationship with God through prayer.
  2. To have and avenue where we can discuss issues as they relate to men in an open and frank format.
  3. We try to keep the political issues within its context; we seek Godly wisdom in dealing with those issues.

Our Mission

  1. Our aim is to build a strong coalition of Christian men within our community.
  2. To be a Godly example in our community.
  3. To amplify the light within us.
  4. To evangelize to our brothers who do not know Jesus in a personal way.
  5. To take our rightful place in our homes.
  6. To be better husbands and better fathers.
  7. To be a good providers and most important to seek Godly wisdom in all our task.

We invite all men from all walks of life to join with us in this endeavor. Let us work together in building God's kingdom.  We meet every Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. To 9:00 AM in Wesley Hall.
